FORMER Worcester City loanee Ethan Ross has joined League Two Colchester United on a two-year deal.
The 21-year-old goalkeeper joins the Us from West Bromwich Albion, the club that sent him for National North experience at City in 2016-17.
Ross was voted young player of the season by supporters at the end of his stint with Worcester and following the club’s three-tier drop, he joined Redditch United on loan last season.
The Baggies then allowed him to trial at Colchester with a view to a permanent move that has now been rubber stamped.
"The move came about quite quickly,” said Ross.
"I found out that my future wasn't going to be at West Brom and they've been great with the whole situation, finding me a new club.
"I came down to train with the lads in the lead up to the Exeter City game at the end of last season and I was really impressed by how professional the whole club was, in terms of the way it is run, the facilities and the overall standard of football.
"The club has a flourishing academy and it's also a nice part of the world, so it ticked all the boxes for me.
"I want to play football and want to make a name for myself."
