FORMER Worcestershire all-rounder Gareth Andrew took eight wickets as Ombersley stunned Birmingham League Premier Division leaders Shrewsbury.

Andrew finished with figures of 8-49 in bowling the hosts out for 187 before half centuries from Brett D Oliveira (71) and Nick Hammond (52 not out) sealed a five-wicket victory.

In Division One, Malvern side Barnards Green won by four wickets to visitors Bridgnorth, Bromsgrove edged Wellington by just two runs and Kidderminster hammered Leamington by 10 wickets with Connor Smith taking 4-29.

Pershore overtook Sutton Coldfield into fifth position in Division Two after they claimed a winning draw against the side from Rectory Park.

Solid contributions from Jon Hancock (50), Chris Ridings (45) and Charlie Norton (42) took Pershore to 257-7.

But an undefeated 55 from Jack Smith and 45 from skipper Lee Thomason helped Sutton to 194-6 by the close.

In Division Three, Jamie Boyle top scored with 42 as Worcester club Old Elizabethans were bowled out for 164 at Handsworth who completed a six-wicket triumph with 21 overs to spare.
