DROITWICH Spa have retained the entire squad who finished third in Midland League Division Two last season.

Joint managers Mark Owen and Wayne Oliver have held onto highly-rated former Worcester City forward James Lemon.

Lemon won the division's golden boot award for the second time in three years.

Owen said: “We are obviously delighted at the players’ collective agreement to continue at Droitwich.

"As far as we are concerned all of the lads that finished last season will rejoin us again for pre-season in July.

"We will hope to add a couple more new faces too.

“To a man they have done incredibly well.

"Since we joined Spa in our three full seasons in charge we have together achieved three third-place finishes and this is another exciting time for the club where we hope to further improve.”

As well as Lemon, Matt Oliver, Sam Hawker, Curtis Townley, Besar Celaj, Chris Glover, Josh Szikora-Warmington, Adam Granger, Matty Hunt, Mike Seeley, Mark Burrows, Haydn Morris, Bradley Burgess, Jack Allerton, Andy Crowther, Graeme Pardoe, Joe Mayo-Braiden, Cory Rudd, Nick Seabourne and Dan Cottrill should stay on.

Spa have pre-season friendlies with Welland on Saturday, July 14, Bewdley Town on Thursday, July 19, Cadbury Athletic Reserves on Saturday, July 21, and Hinton on Saturday, July 28, at King George's Playing Fields.

They will also play their Walshes Meadow landlords Stourport Swifts in midweek.

Due to the situation at the ground in Droitwich, Spa will stay in Stourport next season which allows them to enter the FA Vase and midweek cups.
