WORCESTER Golf and Country Club held their prestigious centenary invitation competition.
A home club member invited a partner from an away club for a better-ball medal format.
Adam Groves and his father Laurence lifted the trophy with a score of nett 60.
Laurence plays at Churchill and Blakedown and Adam has only been a member of Worcester for four months.
One shot behind in runners-up spot was Chris Lloyd and his father David from Sapey.
Three scores of 62 were returned with countback deciding the remaining prizes.
In third were Ian Smith and Mark Roberts (Worcestershire), fourth Phil Macdonnell and Phil Green (Sutton Coldfield) and fifth Phil Green and Garry Brandrick (Enville).
Boughton's Paul Davis won nearest the pin on the eighth with a hole-in-one for his second ace.
There were also prizes for Stuart Band and Dan Clay on the sixth, Ade Spencer on the 13th and Mark Roberts on the 17th.
Nearest the pin in two on the 15th was K Prokopowicz from Droitwich.
