DROITWICH Spa beat Welland 3-0 in their first pre-season friendly of 2018-19.
James Lemon and Haydn Morris spurned first-half chances for Spa but only a superb close-range save by Matty Oliver denied Welland.
Numerous trialists were on show for the Saltmen and last season's supporters' player of the year Bradley Burgess forced the breakthrough with a determined run and low cross which was deflected into the net by a Welland defender on the hour.
Within two minutes it was 2-0 after Burgess beat the offside trap and finished well.
Substitute Dan Cottrill added some gloss to the scoreline with a close-range tap-in after good work and a low cross from the right.
Spa host higher-ranked Bewdley Town on Thursday (7pm).
Among Droitwich's new signings are two of the trialists from the friendly win in right-back James Deeprose and Jack Davies.
