A GREAT Witley woman has been elected president of Hagley and District Light Car Club.
Annie Goodyear has been competing for well over two decades, having previously built and raced a Lotus on circuits across the United Kingdom with her husband Mark.
She has also driven at nearby Shelsley Walsh and Prescott Hill Climbs in other cars.
Goodyear has been a Motor Sports Association (MSA) official for 12 years and was clerk of the course at the recent Chateau Impney Hill Climb at Droitwich.
The Hagley club helped organise the Chateau Impney contest as well a diary of speed events at Loton Park Hill Climb near Shrewsbury.
Goodyear was presented with the president’s salver to mark her new club position.
She said: “This is a great honour and I hope to continue the excellent work carried out by the late Max Trimble who was long-serving president and a stalwart of the club for many years.”
