BROMSGROVE Sporting are set to sign former Worcester City and Kidderminster Harriers midfielder Danny Jackman.
Worcester-based Jackman, 35, has vast experience in the Football League with the likes of Northampton Town and Gillingham.
He has been training with promoted Southern League new boys Sporting this summer since leaving Redditch United.
Sporting manager Brendan Kelly said: "Danny has been training with us for the past three to four weeks.
"He's full of experience which is something we haven't got a great deal of at the moment."
Kelly is waiting to find out where he stands with striker Jason Cowley who is training with National League North side AFC Telford United.
The situation has been complicated further by the fact Cowley is sitting on a five-match ban.
Kelly admitted: "It's a waiting game at the moment to see what happens. If nothing materialises then I would like to bring in another striker."
Bromsgrove have re-signed former Kidderminster Harriers keeper Jonathan Brown as competition for Reece Francis.
They are monitoring trialists Danny Campbell, Cory Herbert, Joe Drake, Jamie Clarke and Halal Albaarini.
