DROITWICH held a successful touch rugby tournament over seven weeks of the summer.

Many local clubs, including Worcester Warriors, Bromsgrove, Chaddesley Corbett and Pershore, sent teams to the Summer of Touch competition.

Hosts Droitwich had three sides in GTR, DRFC seconds and Lads and Dads from last season's under 14s.

The first week started with an introduction to the rules with the help of referee David Field.

The league started on the second week with Tom Touchers, Heros to Zeros and Cleveland Streamers standing out early on and eventually filling the top three spots.

Toms Touchers won the league and Heros to Zeros triumphed in an end-of-season cup competition.

The plate contest went to Old Vigornians and the vase to Bromsgrove Touch.
