AUSTRIAN international Filip Krämer aims to add to his trophy collection after signing for Worcester Wolves.

The experienced 26-year-old power forward, who is 6ft 7ins tall, has won seven cups in as many years at Austrian Bundesliga side Kapfenberg Bulls including back-to-back championships in the last two seasons.

Krämer played in the Basketball Champions League and FIBA Europe Cup with Kapfenberg, averaging nine points and five rebounds per game last season in the Bundesliga.

He also turned out for the Austrian national team and is on their 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup qualification roster.

Krämer said: “I am happy to sign with the Worcester family and ready to help bring the championship trophy home.”

Wolves managing director Mick Donovan said: “Filip has extensive experience with a very successful club that includes playing in elite European competition.

“He will bring leadership, a great all-round game and a really competitive spirit.

“We think his style of basketball will be very refreshing in the BBL and he will be a key part of our plans.”

Meanwhile, London-born forward Terrel Martin-Garcia, 23, is excited to return to the United Kingdom with British Basketball League club Wolves to begin his professional career.

Starting out at Habberdashers Aske’s Knights Academy, 6ft 6ins Martin-Garcia helped England under 18s to the Under 19 Italian Finale Nazionale and Midnight Madness Championship.

He headed to the USA to represent NJCAA Division One Missouri State-West Plains from 2014 until 2016 where he earned All-Region 16 Honours in both years.

He then moved to NCJAA Division One Albany NY for 2016-17 before seeing out his final year at NCAA Division Two Adelphi University.

At Adelphi, he averaged 13 points and a team best seven rebounds.

Martin-Garcia said: "I am excited and grateful to be starting my pro career with Wolves.

“After five years I am fortunate to be able to return to the UK and join a reputable organisation while playing in front of my friends and family.

"I’m looking forward to meeting the fans and joining the Wolves community."

Donovan said: “We are delighted to be bringing Terrel back to the UK to start his professional career in Worcester.

“He is a dynamic and skilled athlete who has tremendous potential to make a big impact for Wolves in the BBL in the coming year.”
