SUNDAY will see Shelsley Walsh Speed Hill Climb turn 113 years old to the day after the venue's first event on August 12, 1905.

The great, the good and the fast have all been to the Worcestershire venue over the years to compete, win and set records and this weekend is no different.

The fastest drivers from the British Hill Climb Championship will look to break records and set the best time of the day.

There will be the United Kingdom public debut of the all-electric powered Panasonic Jaguar Formula E car on Sunday lunchtime with GP3 Champion and GP2 race winner Mitch Evans at the wheel.

Cars that have carved out Shelsley history such as Spider I and II, the Hepworth and Marsh Specials, Nic Mann’s 4.5-litre V8 Turbo and closed car record holder Mike Endean in his Puma Gould will be there too.

A rare Jaguar XJR-15 is on show with only 53 made in 1991 for a cool £500,000.

Organisers will recreate the first winning run from 1905 with a Daimler 35HP plus speak to victors and record holders about what it is like to triumph and hold the outright record.

Before lunch on Sunday there will be the first thrilling Top 12 Run Off with cars hitting 60mph in under two seconds, 100 before the first corner, 145 on Ess Approach and then 155 over the line.

The afternoon runs in August usually see the best climbs of the season before the final Top 12 Run Off decides who will take the best time of the day, the Raymond Mays Shelsley Cup, a new MHD Watch and Autoglym Car Care products.

The Octane Magazine Concours for cars built after 1985 will see some prizes up for grabs.

The first 100 entered free on Sunday morning will be judged.

Motorcycles are running on Saturday too with riders aiming for a sub-30 second run for the first time.

For supercar fans, Stratstone will have a new Ferrari 812 Superfast and a Ferrari Portofino on show near the start line.

There will also be plenty of activities for children to get involved with over the weekend.
