UPTON kicked off their Midlands Five West (South) campaign with a resounding 35-13 home win over Harbury The visitors opened the scoring with an early penalty, but Upton immediately hit back with a try from winger Alex Flower.

Russell Price ambled over following a penalty move 10 metres out and skipper Chris O'Neill added the conversion.

O'Neill then added another penalty to make it 15-3.

Harbury responded with a penalty, but Marek Willis stole in for a try for Upton on the stroke of half-time.

Soon after the restart, Alex Pimlow showed a good turn of pace to race clear and score.

Upton's pack continued to bully their opponents, with big hits being made by Adam Heath. Dave Hunt and Matt Bookham carried the ball well too, while Rob Heeley, Luke Boulton and Lorcan Lynch were always on hand to offer support. Lynch added his name to the score sheet following a forwards' drive.

Pimlow then intercepted on the 22-metre line and scampered home for his second try.

Harbury finsihed brightly with a converted try, but it was too little, too late as Upton ran out winners.
