BRADLEY Green-based Caroline Web-ley was among the winners at the Easibed Scope BSJA Festival of Show Jumping at the Staffordshire County Showground.

The Festival, which staged over 30 Championships at all levels and offered close to £100,000 in prize money, was held over a busy seven days that saw nearly 9,000 rounds of show jumping take place.

Webley was one of seven riders from a 40-strong start list to make the jump-off in the ladies championship - one of the country's top female only show jumping titles.

"The first round course had a lot of fences set on dog leg turns and the second fence, a big parallel, caused a lot of problems," explained Webley. "Then I only had time to watch the first rider go in the jump-off and she went very fast, so I knew I had to go for it."

The jump-off did indeed prove very quick but Webley and her ride Barrister QC, who is now 15, held the lead to score a great win.

"There were problems all through the course in both the ladies and gents championships and the arena at can be spooky, especially for young horses."

Webley added, "Barrister QC also jumped clear in the first round of the Grand Prix but then just touched a fence in the second round, to finish 15th."
