WORSHIP The Stars, ridden by Jeremy Mahot, confirmed the progress he has made by winning the Open race at the United Pack meeting at Brampton Bryan - his sixth win of the season.

Trained by Marilyn Scudamore at Bromash, near Ross, and owned by the Robin Raceline partnership, the seven-year-old has been campaigned steadily all season progressing from Maiden company but he showed with a hard-fought one-length victory over Clear The Line that confirmed his abilities.

Mahot later completed a double aboard Lord Alfred in the final Maiden race to record an easy win for owners Caroline Walker and Bruce Dowling.

The Ladies' Open race seemed to be at the mercy of odds-on favourite Home Made as they went clear three out from leader Shafts Chance but Kelda Wood's mount rallied to score by two lengths. The Confined race saw Joyful Jack by a head from Darnil with Fresh Love in third.
