IT has this evening been confirmed that former Worcester Warriors captain Ted Hill has signed a long-term contract with Gallagher Premiership club Bath Rugby.

Having joined the club on a month-long loan in September following Worcester going into administration, Hill made his debut for Bath off the bench in Saturday's win over Northampton Saints at The Rec.

The twice-capped England back-row was brought through the age-grade system at Worcester and joined the Warriors Senior Academy ahead of the 2017/18 campaign.

In 2020, having made his senior England debut in 2019 against Japan, he was named the youngest ever captain for Worcester but now after five years with the club, he has sealed a long term deal at The Rec.

“Ted is an extremely diligent and talented young man,” Head of Rugby Johann van Graan said.

“He is a fantastic athlete who offers great physicality in his ball carrying as well as in defence. His leadership in what has been a difficult period has been phenomenal and it will add huge value to our squad on and off the field.

“We are really excited to have him with us and I believe he will make a positive difference in the way we want to progress as a club.”

Hill joins fellow Academy products Ollie Lawrence and Jamie Shillcock at the blue, black and whites, as well as ex-Worcester players Fergus Lee-Warner, Valery Morozov and Billy Searle.
