Worcestershire spinner Josh Baker finished with five wickets on his debut for his Australian club side.

He helped Northern District CC to an innings victory over Adelaide CC in a New South Wales Premier Cricket second grade two-day encounter.

Baker returned figures of 3-16 from 11 overs as Adelaide were bowled out on day two for 76 in 41.3 overs in their first innings in reply to 250 all out on the opening day last weekend.

Baker had 2-38 from 11 overs when Adelaide followed on and were dismissed for 154 in 38.1 overs, including top scorer Darcy Mooney who was last out for 72.

It gave him an overall match figures of 5-54 from 22 overs.

New Worcestershire signing Ethan Brookes, will resume on 25 not out for Prahran CC next weekend on day two of the Victoria Premier Cricket League meeting with Northcote.

Brookes came in at 59-2 after Northcote had earlier totalled 187 all out in 56.5 overs.

He played patiently in hitting four boundaries in his 73-ball knock as Prahran reached 122-4 from 33 overs by the close.

Gareth Roderick’s side, Green Point CC, had mixed fortunes in a Western Province T20 double header.

In Game One, Roderick opened and made 13 off 16 balls, being third out with the total on 68, as Green Point (170-8) tied with Rondebosch (170-4) but were beaten in the Super Over.

In Game Two, Roderick was second highest scorer with 29 from 23 balls with one six and two fours as Green Point totalled 155-6 and then restricted opponents Kraaifontein CC to 86-6 in reply.

Cameron Jones picked up two wickets for Collingwood Park CC in a Albany and District Cricket Association ‘A’ grade fixture versus Railway ‘A’.

One of Jones; scalps was Worcestershire Academy 2022-2023 captain, Joe Stanley, who made 51 off 45 balls in a total of 244-3 from 45 overs.

Collingwood Park replied with 170-6 from 42 overs with Jones, batting at number five, dismissed for 15 from 36 balls. Stanley bowled nine overs for 29 runs.
