Hereford FC extend Pugh deal and bring another one in

Former Bolton youngster Obedayi joins the Bulls attack on loan from fellow National League North side Banbury United.

The 34-year-old, from Birmingham, previously played for the likes of Kilmarnock, Oldham and more recently Gloucester City.

Obedayi has played in 19 league games for Banbury United this season and made 12 starts.

“I’m excited to welcome Tope into the group as he is someone I have monitored from the start of the season,” Hereford boss Paul Caddis told the club’s website.

“He has experience of not only the National League North, but also across other leagues in Scotland, England and abroad as well. Being an experienced player, I’ve no doubt he will fit into our group with ease.

“I have recognised our forward players needed some help and Tope will provide that, bringing energy and pace to our forward line.

“His ability in wider areas will help to ease the burden on other players and provide an equal threat on both sides of the pitch, making life much more difficult for our opponents.”

Hereford have also made the move to extend the loan deal of central midfielder Pugh who is on loan from Scunthorpe United.

After initially coming in for a month Pugh made a significant contribution, playing 13 times, resulting in his loan deal being extended for the remainder of the season.

“Tom is great lad and has had a big impact since arriving at Edgar Street on loan,” added Caddis.

“I’m delighted that we’ve been able to secure his services for the rest of the season and would like to thank Scunthorpe United for their co-operation in making this deal possible.”

Meanwhile, Koby Arthur has signed a dual-registration deal with Stourbridge where he will join former Bulls players Ethan Freemantle, Connor Stanley and Stanley Obinna Anaebonam.

Arthur who signed for Hereford in the summer has struggled to cement a starting place with 13 of his 20 appearances coming from the bench.
