HEREFORD United boss Graham Turner believes there is more to come from midfielder Toumani Diagouraga.
The 21-year-old Frenchman has signed a three-year deal at Edgar Street after spending last season on loan with the Bulls from Championship club Watford.
Diagouraga made 41 appearances and scored two goals for Hereford during their promotion-winning campaign from League Two.
Turner had first option to sign the player as part of the agreement that saw Lionel Ainsworth move to Vicarage Road in January and has been quick to seal a deal.
The Bulls boss was impressed with what he saw from Diagouraga last season but thinks he can improve.
He said: “From early on, Toumani indicated he would like to join us permanently.
“We have had a good look at him for 12 months and he’s got all the potential to be a very good midfielder but there’s a lot more to come from him.”
Diagouraga’s signature is likely to be followed by that of a goalkeeper as Turner hunts for a replacement for Wayne Brown. He expects to complete his summer dealings in the next fortnight.
Turner added: “We are still talking to people but I would hope that over the next week or two we would get the squad finalised.”
