WESTFIELDS are targeting a minimum of four points from their first two games as the new Midland Alliance season gets under way on Saturday.

The Hereford side kick-off their campaign against Midland Combination champions Coleshill Town at allpay.park (3pm) before visiting Cradley Town on Tuesday.

Westfields, who won their final pre-season game 2-1 against Dudley on Wednesday following the postponement of Tuesday’s fixture with Pegasus, are without keeper Jon Pugh and Scott Jackson.

Pugh is heading to the Beijing Paralympics with the England blind football team and will be replaced by Bryn Watkins, signed from Pegasus, while captain Jackson serves the last of a three-game ban carried over from last season.

Westfields have added two other new faces with striker Danny Hill arriving from Sutton United and Sam Harrison joining from Hereford United’s academy.

Other fixtures, West Midlands League Premier Division: Darlaston v Ledbury; Wolverhampton Casuals v Bromyard; Midland Combination Premier Division: Pershore Town v Loughborough University; Division One: Archdales 73 v Stockingford AA.
