THE Cripplegate Ladies team of J Nuttall and B Steggles bowled well to see off the challenge of Brimfield Little Hereford to claim the Vera Hedges Pairs title at the City of Worcester Ladies’ Open tournament.

The Worcester club duo eventually triumphed 23-22 in a tense final.

The Hilda Keay Triples crown was won by J Pennell, J Newton and J Griffiths, of Overbury.

They beat the Barbourne triple of R Amphlett, A King and L Hampton 27-14 in the final.
