WORCESTERSHIRE Under 18s saw off Romulus 3-0 in a friendly at Kenilworth Town.
Malvern Town’s Dan Holloway scored twice and Pershore Town’s Matthew Taylor once in the clash.
Worcestershire have friendlies in Gloucestershire next Thursday and against Staffordshire at Malvern a week on Sunday, September 21, before the competitive action starts.
Boss Ivor Chambers was complimentary about Malvern’s youth system which has provided a string of players for the county.
Many are also playing for their club’s first team and Chambers said: “It’s just great that we’ve got that standard of players.”
He sympathised with first-team managers who lose their players to county action but admitted: “Whenever we play the games, it will be a problem for someone.”
