Saints started the game at a fast tempo with plenty of chances in front off goal.
Bromyard defended well but Ryan Woodward forced a great save from the in-form Lee Taylor with a 25-yard strike.
Tiago whipped in a low drive from the corner, forcing a defensive error for an own goal.
Saints missed more chances in the second period before Smith acrobatically fired home man-of-the-match David Butler’s cross from the right wing.
Bromyard counter-attacked but hit the bar to keep Saints’ sheet clean.
