THREE members of Worcester Triathlon Club were honoured in the West Midlands Regional Series Triathlon Championships at the Sports Cafe in Birmingham.
Rachel Ward, the Stourport doctor who made her debut for Great Britain at the World Triathlon Championships in Vancouver earlier this year, won the ladies’ race series.
Club-mate David Jubb was first in the aquathlon series and second in the triathlon event in the 13 to 14 age group.
Jubb’s younger sister Helen finished first in both the regional aquathlon series and the triathlon event in the nine to 10 group.
Worcester are poised to announce a comprehensive training programme for junior members and potential newyoung recruits from their headquarters at Top Barn Activity Centre, Holt Heath.
