WORCESTER’S Cobras Tae Kwon Do club held its single largest coloured belt grading at the city’s Elgar Technology College.
Eighty-four students from junior to senior grade took part in a number of different syllabus tasks to achieve their next grade.
The grading requirements were made up of freestyle drills, pad skills, patterns, self defence, sparring and many other elements.
Cobras Tae Kwon Do also had eight students grade for their black tags, which is the pre-cursor to the black belt grading, which is due in November.
The club’s chief instructor, Leo Withers, said: “I am pleased to say that the standard was exceedingly high and that all students were successful in their attempt.
“Out of the eight students who attained their black tags, four of them were from the same family. They are Philip Marr, Wendy Holland-Bowyer, Luke Holland-Bowyer and Cameron Holland-Bowyer.”
Anyone interested in a month of free Tae Kwon Do training should call Withers on 07508-726975 or 01562-69916.
