NEW Malvern Town manager Chris Palmer is set to put his faith in the club’s young players as he bids to revive the flagging fortunes at the Langland Stadium.
Malvern are back in pre-season training ahead of their return to the Midland Alliance following relegation from the Southern League.
Former Malvern player Palmer faces a rebuilding process but money is tight at the club, which was a major factor in Paul Pallett resigning as chairman last week.
Palmer said: “Hopefully, within three to four seasons we would like to get back to the Southern League but it’s a new start for us and we are going to go down the road of bringing in a younger generation of footballer.”
Eight of last season’s squad have agreed to stay on, including 36-year-old Nick Clayton and fellow defender Craig Williams, 29.
