Dukes and Nions will battle for Hollins Cup

JENNY Nions and Tina Dukes will contest the Hollins Cup in a play-off after both players set the pace at the Worcestershire Golf Club, each scoring a superb 41 stableford points.

Nions edged Dukes into second place on countback in the bronze division, with Margaret Duncan finishing third ahead of Veronica Shaw after both players returned 38 points.

Betty Hakes won the silver division with 40 points and June Jones, Jill Piner and Mary Horrobin all returned excellent below-par rounds.

Ursula Pearson and Judy Colliver continued their winning streaks after both were convincing winners in the silver and bronze scratch cups respectively.

Colliver also claimed top spot in the extra-medal with a nett 70.

In the silver division extra-medal, former captain Pat Rose shot a one-under par 71 to win.
