MIDFIELDER Chris McPhee will continue to rack up the miles after agreeing to stay with Kidderminster Harriers.
The 26-year-old, who turned down a move to League Two Cheltenham Town, has signed a two-year deal at Aggborough.
McPhee shone in his 16 games last season following his arrival from troubled Weymouth.
Manager Mark Yates was keen to retain his services, a priority heightened after Russ Penn’s move to Burton Albion.
However, McPhee is not moving to Worcestershire and will commute from his Devon base once or twice a week, while also training with players from Zamaretto League Premier Division side Truro City.
Yates said: “Chris was a massive player for us last season — he came in and gave us that impetus. He’s a great lad and the right character we want at the football club. He plays the right way and with a smile on his face.
“He’ll be a massive part of our squad. Chris isn’t motivated by money, he wants to enjoy his football, be treated properly and be well thought of.”
The Kidderminster Harriers Independent Supporters Trust played their part by helping to finance a car for McPhee.
