UPTON maintained their unbeaten start to the Midlands Three West (South) season with a 27-14 win at Kings Norton.
Chris O’Neil got the scoreboard ticking with a penalty, before winger Dan Aldersey sprinted over in the corner.
Alex Pimlow glided in for an early second-half try, which O’Neil improved.
Kings Norton pounced on messy scrum ball to claim a converted try. Then, from an apparent knock-on by O’Neil, the referee waved play on and Pimlow touched down.
Kings Norton again went over from a poor Upton scrum, but Adam Heath stormed through for Upton’s fourth try, which O’Neil converted.
Upton Seconds beat Kings Norton Seconds 43-10 with two-try Nathan Munden the star performer.
