WORCESTERSHIRE will face a trio of last season’s squad in the new ECB 40 League.

The New Road side have been drawn in Group ‘A’ of the 21-team 40-over competition.

In their group will be the ECB Recreational XI, which will be a side made up of players without full county contracts, Glamorgan, Lancashire, who have signed Stephen Moore, Somerset, Surrey, who have captured Steve Davies and Gareth Batty, and Sussex.

Three groups of seven teams will take part playing each other home and away.

The winners of each and the best second placed team will qualify for the semi-finals with the final taking place at Lord’s on Saturday 18 September.
