NATHAN Vaughan will return to his ‘day’ job tonight (7.45pm) as Evesham United look to progress in FA Trophy.

The Robins keeper fired home a 92nd minute equaliser to give Paul West’s side a second bite of the cherry in their first qualifying round clash with Windsor and Eton.

The Zamaretto League Premier Division boss admits his side were fortunate to earn a replay against the unbeaten Division One South and West outfit.

“When your keeper scores in the 92nd minute you know you have been fortunate to get the draw,” West admits. “Overall we were disappointing and now we have a chance to put that right.”

The winner of the replay will face a trip to Ryman League Division One North outfit Northwood in the second qualifying round on Saturday week.

But West is not thinking past tonight’s clash at Stag Meadow.

“I’m looking at bringing some new faces in, but my focus right now is the Windsor game,” he said. “They are a good side, just because they are a league below us, that makes no difference.

“They have had a good start to the season and they didn’t surprise me one bit on Saturday. Now we need to go there and roll our sleeves up and put in a better performance.”

Evesham will be without midfielder Simon Fitter as he serves a one-match ban after picking up five yellow cards. This could mean a recall for former Malvern Town skipper Jamie Hyde.

West will be hoping Danny Lennon, who returned to the club from Stratford Town, can continue from where he left off against Windsor.

“Danny worked hard on Saturday, I just need one or two of the lads to improve,” West said. There were some good individual performances, but in the end we weren’t good enough.”
