DEFENDING champion and top seed Terry Jenkins bowed out of the John McEvoy Gold Dart Classic in the second round.
The Ledbury player, 46, lost 6-2 to Dennis Smith in Killarney, Ireland, following a 6-4 win over James Murphy.
Droitwich’s Dave Honey progressed through two matches — beating Thomas McGrath 6-0 and Padraig Hester 6-1 before going out 6-5 to Andy Jenkins at the same stage as the Bull.
Phil Taylor won a third successive tournament with a 6-0 whitewash over Paul Nicholson in the final.
