A YOUTHFUL Kidderminster Harriers side knocked crisis club Bromsgrove Rovers out of the Worcestershire FA Senior Cup at the Victoria Ground tonight.

Defender Liam Dolman’s 40-yard thunderbolt was the crucial moment as he handed the Aggborough outfit the lead on the stroke of half-time in the quarter-finals.

The goal marked a turnaround after the visitors fell behind to their opponents from Zamaretto League Division One Midlands early on before hitting back.

Harriers fielded a side packed with players on the fringes of the first-team squad and from the youth team.

Rovers, who entered administration on Monday and are now up for sale, went ahead in the 21st minute when winger Luke Findley’s shot from the edge of the box looped into the back of the net.

But Harriers levelled the scores two minutes later when striker Aaron Farrell slid in to bundle the ball home.

Dolman’s powerful effort put the Blue Square Premier outfit ahead for the first time and they wrapped up the victory in the 71st minute through teenager Matt Grainger’s header.

Meanwhile, Evesham United won 2-0 in the FA Trophy first qualifying round replay at Windsor and Eton with Jermaine Clarke netting a double.
