PERSHORE’S first team maintained their 100 per cent BodyKraft West Midlands Division Two record with a 3-2 win at Aston University.
The Vale side took the lead following good work down the right by Joey Taylor, a shot from Toby Whiting was saved, it fell to Liam Ridings, who slotted home.
Pershore then doubled their advantage before half-time when a penalty stroke was calmly netted by Jamie Hughes.
The Aston students took full advantage of the Plums’ failure to build on their lead, when Russell Scudamore lost the ball in defence. This was punished with goalkeeper John Sharratt beaten a little too easily, before they levelled from a neat short corner routine.
Pershore found the winner when captain Gareth Rushton slotted home from a short corner.
