PERSHORE shaped up with a 5-0 thumping of newcomers Dudley Knights in BodyKraft Men’s Hockey League West Midlands Division Two.
Stephen Ridsdale slotted home the opener and Rob Handley added a second with a fine solo effort.
Russell Scudamore converted a similar goal to Handley’s before two close-range efforts from Liam Ridings.
With 20 minutes gone, a Dudley player was knocked unconscious by the ball and, with paramedics in attendance, everyone agreed to end the game and allow the score to stand.
Meanwhile, Pershore lost 2-1 to Old Halesonians in a clash of the Worcestershire Women’s League Division Two high-fliers.
Emma Gardner broke the deadlock with a short-corner strike but Old Hales hit back to triumph.
