They fell 3-1 at home to a lively Leicester Seconds side but still lead the division by two points from Kettering.

Worcester could only score once against their bogey team through Hattie Lloyd on 30 minutes after Helen Reeves’ shot was blocked.

Other chances were missed and the hosts shipped an equaliser from a penalty corner.

Heath pressure led to their opener but Worcester forwards Libby Hayes and Sade Gerald hit back and a penalty flick was converted by captain Becky Donnelly.

However, several Worcester players struggled with illness in the second period and Heath dominated.

Fine defending kept the hosts down to four goals before a consolation from Gerald. Player-of-the-match was Emily Swinswood.

Tom Neal opened the scoring with a fine solo effort and top-scorer Andy Hadley converted a short corner.

But Loughborough pulled a goal back from open play in the second-half and converted a short corner to level.

Determined play from Worcester defenders Andy Howie and Ben Dalton helped to keep hold of the point.
