LIGHTNING struck twice for a member of Wharton Park Golf Club after he recorded two hole-in-ones in the space of a week.

Kidderminster resident Kevin Booth, 39, is set to frame the ball in which he bagged both memorable moments at the Bewdley course.

Booth grabbed his first on Wharton’s par three eighth hole, but had a sense of deja-vu seven days later when playing with the exact same ball and club when his tee-shot dropped into the same hole.

He said: “To get two hole-in-ones is very unusual, but to do it within the space of a week, with the same ball and club at the same hole is very spooky.

“I couldn’t believe it when the second one went in. You’ve seen people get a few in a round, but to do two in a week is rare.

“I will certainly be framing the ball, as it’s something special to remember.”
