KIDDERMINSTER Harriers will lose three points in the Blue Square Premier following Chester City’s expulsion from the league.
Chester were kicked out of the competition at a meeting of member clubs at Rushden and Diamonds FC today.
The Football Conference board recommended the action against the league’s bottom club following a catalogue of financial problems, which had already seen them docked 25 points.
The Deva Stadium outfit were also suspended earlier in the season after failing to fulfil their fixtures against Forest Green Rovers and Wrexham.
Chester’s records will be expunged, meaning Harriers’ 2-0 victory on Boxing Day will be chalked off.
Steve Burr’s side were also due to host Chester at Aggborough on February 17 but the match came during Chester’s suspension.
A statement read: “Member clubs of the Football Conference, at a general meeting held today, voted in support of the board of directors’ recommendation to erase Chester City (2004) FC Ltd from membership in accordance with Article 5.2.”
