Heeley to be in charge next season

CARL Heeley has officially been appointed as Worcester City manager.

The Lane legend, who played more than 500 times for the club, initially took over from Richard Dryden in a caretaker capacity.

He has now accepted the job on a permanent basis and will be in charge next season.

Chairman Anthony Hampson said: "Carl has proved that he is an effective communicator and a man who can inspire the best from his players and Worcester City are lucky to have such a resource to call on."

Great news. Congragulations, Carl.

I hope you can keep Mark as your assistance, also, and get 30 games out of that knee again.

Performances this year have mostly been good, and not reflected in the results.

It may not take much to turn around from all those narrow defeats by a single goal.

Good luck Carl. You remind me of the way Stuart Pearce rallies his troops and that can only be a good thing. Best Wishes
