KIDDERMINSTER Harriers could be without several players for tonight’s Blue Square Premier trip to third-placed Luton Town (7.45).
Midfielder Dean Bennett (hip) and defensive duo Gavin Caines (Achilles) and Martin Riley (toe) are all doubts for the Kenilworth Road clash.
The trio featured in Saturday’s FA Trophy semi-final first leg 5-1 thrashing at the hands of Stevenage Borough at Aggborough, a result that left Harriers’ bid to reach the final in tatters.
Manager Steve Burr is looking for a response but is not about to push the panic button following their first defeat under his tutelage.
He said: “I didn’t see that coming at all with the run we have been on so it was very disappointing.
“It was a lack of concentration at important times in the game and if you give goals away in the manner that we did you aren’t going to win matches.
“That was our first defeat in 11 games so in that respect I am not one to castigate everybody but there will be enforced changes.”
Forward Darryl Knights is struggling with a calf problem but Burr expects him to be fit to face the Hatters.
“It gives other people chance to come in,” he said. “The ones who have been waiting patiently for their chance to show me what they can do will get that opportunity.”
n Harriers full-back Liam Dolman will finish the season on loan at Blue Square North play-off chasers Corby Town.
