Malvern relishing visit of Boars

DAVE Robins says his Malvern side will relish their home National Three Midlands derby clash with third-placed Bromsgrove tomorrow (3pm) after they had a boost to their survival bid.

Malvern go into the crunch clash with Bromsgrove buoyed by the 37-16 victory over already-relegated Bedford Athletic, but Robins accepts his side face a far tougher test at Spring Lane.

Scrum-half James Southall has been ruled out for the rest of the season after sustaining ankle ligament damage in the Bedford win. He is replaced by David Hadkiss. Captain Philip Rawle broke his nose at Bedford but is set to start tomorrow. Tom Longley returns to the back line and Richard Fleming switches from full-back to centre.

Dominic Murphy returns at loosehead prop after missing the last couple of games due to a shoulder injury.

First XV v Bromsgrove (h, 3pm): D Murphy, A Murphy, J Clark, G Taylor, M Williams, M Humphreys, S Daws, P Rawle (c), D Hadkiss, A Dixon, T Morgan, R Fleming, W Farris, D Reagan, T Longley, C Edwards, D Smith, J Thomas. Meet at Spring Lane at 1.15pm, number one dress code.

Second XV will play a pool league game, from: A Jones, A Almond, S Weston, D Allan, D Beggs, L Moloney, S Clark, B Merrec, M Cock, T Hupfield, G Edgar, G Richards, G Fraser, S Smith, G Wills.

Third XV v Bromsgrove III (a, 3pm): Players to be advised direct. Meet at Spring Lane at 1pm.
