ANDY Morrison is hoping the capture of a new right wing-back will be one of the `final pieces' in the Worcester City promotion jigsaw.

City are hunting a wing-back following manager Andy Preece's decision to release Rob Warner.

Warner, 29, was considered not good enough going forward in that role and assistant-manager Morrison admits the club are looking at one or two replacements.

"We've got a couple of names in mind," said Morrison. "One that is looking quite positive.

"Hopefully, that will be one of the final pieces of the jigsaw. We want to win promotion next season and that may bring it all to-gether."

City's players have been given a fortnight's rest before preparations begin for the 2006/07 campaign. They will then carry out individual tailor-made fitness programmes, devised by Morrison, before re-turning to a three-day training camp in July.

Morrison said: "The lads have got two weeks off now and they will then get fitness programmes sent out to them.

"We've already measured their weight and body fat and they will all be given two or three pounds grace.

"A full system is in place, but they are all pretty fit lads anyway. There's no big centre-half in the squad that is going to put on weight.

"Each programme is different for each individual. They are personal sessions, geared to training two or three days a week.

Morrison added: "It is small amounts, building up gradually so they have got a base to go into pre-season training. They all came back in fantastic shape last year."

He insists a good, injury-free pre-season is essential before Worcester bid for promotion from Nationwide North.
