GRAHAM Turner has begun contract talks with his play-off stars as he starts planning Hereford United's League Two assault.

A handful of United players are already tied down for next season -- including Andy Williams, Andy Ferrell and Alex Jeannin --while others are considering fresh deals.

Bulls manager Turner was not prepared to discuss individual contracts and said those offered terms have been given a set time to commit their future to the Conference play-off champions.

"The players were in yesterday to sort out new contracts," said Turner. "They all expired after Saturday's game.

"All players under 24 were given written offers last week.

"They have been given a set period of time to consider the offers presented to them, but in the meantime we will be looking for players to strengthen the squad."

Ryan Green, Adam Stansfield and Tamika Mkandawire have been linked to other clubs.

Turner declined to comment on whether he will pursue goalkeeper Wayne Brown, who starred on loan for the Bulls this season but is contracted to Chester City for the 2006/07 campaign.

The Bulls chief, however, admits he can loosen the transfer purse-strings this summer, with an extra £200,000 League sponsorship cash entering the Edgar Street coffers compared to last season.

Turner added: "There's a bit more scope than there has been at any other time, because we are competing in a different market."

John Nagle, head of communications at the Football League, confirmed Hereford will receive an established sponsorship and broadcasting payment of £260,000 for next season.
