ROY Rencher is expecting a big push in Southern League Division One Midlands next season after signing around a dozen new players.
The Walshes Meadow boss needs just one more recruit this summer after bolstering his squad in all departments.
Among his group of strikers next term include former Pershore Town goal-machine Andy Hodgetts, Oldbury old boy Kevin Brookes and ex-Gornal Athletic player John Reeves.
Veteran forward Steve Taylor, 36, formerly of Bromsgrove Rovers and Kidderminster Harriers, is another new face and midfielder Steve Hawkes has re-signed.
Also in midfield, former Stratford Town man Dean Wellington and 18-year-old Danny Mayson from Kidderminster Harriers agreed terms, along with Rushall Olympic duo Leon Allen and Tim Jackson.
Teenage centre-half Dan Harvey, who helped Swifts survive relegation last season on loan from Hednesford Town, makes a permanent move, while ex-Hereford and Evesham United goalkeeper Karl Lewis arrives. Swifts defender Craig Jenkins has agreed to stay on for next season, although veteran midfielder Lee Williams is likely to follow Craig Pountney, Eric Pudaloff and Richard Burgess out of the club.
"I'm more than happy with the squad I've got at the moment," said Rencher. "There's about 22 or 24 in the squad and it's of good quality. We will probably need to sign one or two more.
"I'm on the look-out for a bit of goalkeeper cover and we might need another defender. But I'm very, very happy with the way it's looking."
