WORCESTER'S Marc Evans is flying the flag for Wales at the World Eight-ball Pool Federation Championships.
Evans is competing in the men's individual singles this week and then the World Pool Masters over the weekend at the Norbreck Castle Hotel, Blackpool.
The 28-year-old, a buyer by trade, is joined in the Masters by Marcus and Wayne Lannie from Worcester, Malvern's Andy Jones and Kidderminster's Richard Fallon.
Evans, who plays for Hot Shots, the Worcester Pool League representative side and the county team, has played in the World Championships once before.
But he hopes to better previous performances at world and European level by reaching next week's singles quarter-finals which will be televised. The early matches will be over the best of 13 frames.
