FIVE Echelon Cycles riders competed at the national 25-mile time trial championship in Warwickshire with Gavin Poupart finishing 32nd.
Meanwhile, Paul Dring, riding his first 50-mile time trial, finished first in South Wales in one hour 51 minutes 46 seconds to establish a new course record.
Dring pushed former record holder and pre-race favourite Colin Wallace from Port Talbot into second place.
National trial times: Poupart 55-41, Dave Dickerson 55-48, Adrian Bird 57-31, Tim Wood 57-32, Mark Heath 59-31.
