JON Andrews has been named the new director of rugby at Droitwich Rugby Club.
Andrews, who has been a stalwart of the team over the last few years, replaces Julian Bailey in the key role.
The change was made at the club's annual general meeting.
Chairman Phil Hopkins said: "Julian did an excellent job in his time here but he is stepping down to concentrate on family commitments.
"Jon is a well known member of the team and his experience will help the club move onwards and upwards."
Bailey enjoyed a successful time at Droitwich, playing a part in the team's promotion-winning season to Midlands Division Three West (South) in 2002/2003.
The club is also closing in on a new head coach, before the start of the 2005/2006 season.
Hopkins said the club's plans to build a grandstand should progress shortly.
