WORCESTERSHIRE Bowling Association travelled to Leo-minster Bowling Club to take on Herefordshire Bowling Association looking for a minimum of eighteen points from this third Middleton Cup group game.
But this was not to be Worcestershire's day as Here-fordshire gave a good all-round display winning on four out of the six rinks available.
The county's winning rinks were skipped by Mike Pullen and Rob Stanley but by only nine and one shot respectively.
Worcestershire could only manage success on two rinks giving Herefordshire a chance of reaching the quarter-finals of the competititon for the first time for many years.
