OLD Vigornians Seconds' Phil Mackie finally scored his first century after 28 seasons of trying.

Mackie struck 137 not out in an impressive 112-run win over Wormelow in division three south.

After nearly 400 games for the club, he scored the ninth highest score in OVs' history -- one behind his dad Alec's effort in 1978 -- by hitting 18 fours and three sixes.

James Bader added 71, Tom Guest 38 and Tom Cullen 36 in a record total of 319-6, while Richard Prime managed 57no in Wormelow's 207 all out. Steve Protherough took 4-65.

Simon Anderson claimed a brilliant 9-78 in Cookley's 80-run division three north win over Old Halesonians.

In division two, Worcester Nomads lost by five wickets at Coombs Wood after living to regret losing the toss.

They crashed to 20-4 after batting first but Josh Stafford (86) and Tom Marsh (59) put on 100 for the fifth wicket.

However, Coombs Wood successfully chased the 220 needed for victory in 47 overs.

Chris Baldwin scored 106 and Norman Lamb 55 for Kidderminster Victoria in a winning draw over Avoncroft with Mark Taylor (98) replying.

Division one leaders Bewdley slipped up with a defeat at third-placed Droitwich Spa.

Paul Brookes slammed 132no in Chaddesley Corbett's six-wicket win at Alvechurch, while Bromyard were in high-scoring mood.

Owen Thomas (92), Mark Benbow (75) and David Scorer (54) helped them to 319-8 before Scorer took 6-64 as Barnards Green fell 182 runs short.
