GRAHAM Turner would like nothing better than to bring the curtain down on 15 years at Hereford United with a victory.

The Bulls chairman and manager is set to take charge of the team for the last time when they host Rotherham United at Edgar Street on Saturday (3pm).

Turner, along with vice-chairman Joan Fennessy, has put his club shares on the market and is in talks with potential new owners.

He does not expect to be manager next season, having retaken the reins from John Trewick in March.

Hereford are looking for their 12th home success of the season against a Millers side already assured of their place in the League Two play-offs.

“There’s a high probability that it will be my last game so I would like to go out on a winning note,” Turner said.

“Rotherham are home and dry as far as the play-offs are concerned but nonetheless I think it will be a hard game.

“We want to finish on a high and I am sure the players will want to do a lap to thank the fans. It would be nice to do it on the back of a win.”

The Bulls are looking to return to winnings ways having lost 2-1 at Dagenham and Redbridge last Saturday when Marc Pugh’s equaliser was overhauled in the final seconds.

Turner expects to have the same squad to pick from although striker Craig King has returned to Leicester City following a loan spell.

King started 22 games for United after joining last September and scored three goals, including in the 2-1 home win against Rochdale two weeks ago.

The rest of the squad will discuss their futures over the coming days with the Bulls chief as contracts begin to expire.

Turner said: “We are going to get Saturday out of the way first. We have until the following Saturday to inform the players of our intentions in writing and we shall do that.”

Midfielder Gavin McCallum has been named in the Canada squad to face Venezuela later this month but should still be involved on Saturday.

Rotherham will rest several players but boss Ronnie Moore insists he will still field a strong side.

Admission to the match for under 16s is £1 and tickets must be purchased from the ticket office.
