MUNSTER-bound centre Sammy Tuitupou has revealed he would one day love to play for Worcester Warriors again.

The former All Black opted to turn down a new Sixways contract following the club’s relegation from the Premiership and signed a deal with the famous Irish province.

However, Tuitupou refused to rule out one day returning to Worcester, a club he insists will always be close to his heart.

The 28-year-old nine-cap New Zealander, who scored 13 tries in 54 games during his two-and-a-half year stay with Warriors, said: “I now move on but you never say never to a return. Worcester have opened doors for me but this door will not be closed.

“Playing here has given me a wonderful opportunity at Munster. When I finish there, this is the first club I will be looking at and who knows what might happen? Now I’m looking forward to the challenge at Munster, experiencing a new culture and also having a look at Ireland.”

He added: “Worcester have held on to some key players and one of those is Dale Rasmussen. He is a key senior player in this team and to have him signed up is great news for Warriors.

“The likes of Chris Pennell, Miles Benjamin and Alex Grove can also help the club grow in the backs and help the next generation coming through.”
