WORCESTERSHIRE recorded a clean sweep of pool victories against rivals Herefordshire.
The men’s ‘A’ team bounced back from a 27-17 defeat against Buckinghamshire last month to win 26-18 in region five of the English Pool Association at Rileys, Shrub Hill.
Man-of-the-match was Andy Jones, Worcestershire’s international pool association professional from Malvern who is currently ranked 44 in the world.
The formidable men’s ‘B’ side extended their 20-month unbeaten run in the competition, winning 26-18 against their Herefordshire counterparts.
Nick Evetts was man-of-the-match with four wins from four.
Kidderminster’s Dave Goode and ‘B’ team captain Diego Maese also had 100 per cent records.
The women’s team recorded a convincing 32-12 winning margin with player-of-the-match Kirst Sheppard triumphing in four out of four.
Captain Becky Lewis and Deb Farr also won all their matches.
The juniors won 25-19 to complete the clean sweep with man-of-the-match Elliot Guy claiming a 100 per cent record, along with Aesclin Jones.
